Name of woman killed on flight to EAA identified

(WFRV) -  Authorities are releasing the name of the woman who died after a seaplane flipped over on Lake Winnebago near EAA on Thursday.

The Winnebago County Sheriff's Department says 71-year-old Diane Linker of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota died in the crash.

One person is still in critical condition. Another person was released from the hospital after suffering minor injuries.

All three were from Minnesota and were heading back there before the crash.

According to an EAA spokesman the plane hit a large wave and overturned.

The accident happened a mile offshore from the seaplane base at around 8 o'clock Thursday night.

Two people were trapped in the plane.

The other person was able to escape and had minor injuries.

A diver was also injured during the rescue.
