Chilly Election Day, then wintry mix and showers return
MILWAUKEE COUNTY, (CBS 58 News) -- A major crash caused a full freeway closure on I-43 North overnight on Sat. Jun. 28.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened near Port Washington Road at 12:55 in the morning.
Officials say a car struck a construction vehicle in an active work zone, where a single worker suffered a concussion but was uninjured.
The driver of the striking car suffered serious injured and is now in the hospital on a ventilator.
His wife, and sole passenger, is uninjured.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office says a third vehicle carrying three juveniles returning home from Summerfest struck the vehicle carrying the married couple.
None of the youth were injured.
The investigation remains ongoing.
