Suspect arrested in Arkansas in connection to homicide of 20-year-old Kenosha man

KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 22-year-old Kenosha man has been charged with first degree intentional homicide following the shooting death of a 20-year-old Julian Flores. 

The victim's grandfather, according to a criminal complaint, witnessed the incident. He told investigators after returning home from Walmart with Flores, he saw him walk toward a man walking east on 42nd Street and then discharge a handgun striking Flores. 

Detectives located two pink Laffy Taffy candy wrappers near the victim. Surveillance from the nearby Westown Foods -- at 43rd and Sheridan -- captured a man who was identified as Treshawn Tooks purchasing pink Laffy Taffy candy just before the shooting occurred. 

Tooks is being held on $1 million bond. He's due in court for a preliminary hearing on March 8.

KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Tooks was in court on Thursday, Feb. 29. 

Bond was set at $1 million.

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Kenosha police say a 22-year-old Kenosha resident was arrested in Arkansas early Feb. 15 in connection to the homicide of Julian Flores

Police say once he's back in Kenosha, Treshawn Tooks will face a charge of first-degree intentional homicide.

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Kenosha Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on Saturday, Feb. 10.

Police responded to multiple reports of gunshots. It happened around 6:00 p.m., near 42nd and Sheridan. Upon arrival, officers located a 20-year-old male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim died from his injuries. 

The scene and immediate surrounding area remain secured as the investigation continues, according to police.
