(CBS 58) – Deleting online accounts is one way to protect your data and privacy online, according to Consumer Reports.
The company says data breaches that compromise old accounts can lead to identity theft. Additionally, if you’re not using the service, Consumer Reports says you shouldn’t let the company store and possibly make money off of your information.
Some accounts are easier to delete than others, more information can be found on Consumer Reports website.
