Chapel at Camp Vista in Fond du Lac County destroyed by fire

FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Early Wednesday morning around 5 a.m. the Fond du Lac Dispatch Center got a call for a fire at Camp Vista which is located in Osceola. 

Someone passing by noticed flames coming from a wooded area and called 911. The initial reports were that the chapel at the campsite was fully engulfed in flames and the fire was spreading into the woods nearby.

Over ten fire departments responded to the fire and the main chapel is considered a total loss. 

The chapel was a large 50 foot by 80 foot building. 

Authorities say no animals or humans were injured in the fire. 

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
