MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- With the weather warming up, the Milwaukee County Parks Department is opening up 12 of their golf courses for the season.

This excludes Zablocki Park Golf Course which is currently undergoing construction.

The parks department says last year, they generated a record-breaking amount of revenue, totaling nearly $11 million.

It was redistributed for projects within the parks system.

"After an incredible 2023 season, I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store for Milwaukee County golf in 2024," said Milwaukee County Parks Executive Director Guy Smith. "We're continually making improvements to all of our golf courses in Milwaukee County, and we're excited to see what our golfers think of the newly renovated Lincoln Clubhouse, the synthetic greens and tee boxes at Zablocki, and the upcoming construction of cart paths at Dretzka. It's time to hit the links!"
