Update: Woman taken by Flight for Life after skateboarding accident at Petrifying Springs in Kenosha

A woman suffered serious injuries after a skateboarding accident at Petrifying Springs in Kenosha.

According to the Chief of the Somers Fire Department, the woman was skateboarding alone when she fell. She suffered head trauma but was conscious

The Somers Fire Department treated her on the scene and she was taken to a local hospital by Flight for Life.

Authorities have identified the woman as a 19-year-old from Zion, Illinois. She was not wearing a helmet.

The Kenosha County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident further.
