Several People Injured After Chain Reaction Accident Involving a Milwaukee County Transit Bus

Milwaukee - Several people are injured after an early morning accident involving a Milwaukee County Transit System bus. At about 12:10 am, a vehicle traveling northwest on Fond du Lac failed to stop at a red light at 35th Street. The vehicle rear-ended a car that was stopped at the red light and set off a chain reaction where two additional vehicles collided with each other.

One of those vehicles struck a Milwaukee County Transit bus that was also stopped at the red light. Several people were injured, including three people on the bus. At least two people were conveyed to a local hospital for minor injuries and the others were treated on the scene by the Milwaukee Fire Department.

The driver of the vehicle that caused the accident was being detained on the scene pending the ongoing investigation.
