Convicted Felon Arrested After Guns Found in Vehicle

The keen eyes of two Milwaukee Police Officers led to the arrest of a convicted felon and the seizure of three guns and ammunition this past weekend.  The officers were on patrol early in the morning of May 14 in the area of N 31st Street and W Villard Avenue when they spotted an AR-15 rifle inside of an unoccupied 2004 Nissan Altima.  According to the Police report, the officers then saw a man use his key to enter the Altima.   The officers approached the driver and he ran away, but the officers were able to take the man was taken into custody.  According to the MPD, the 25-year-old male is a convicted felon.   Besides the AR-15 rifle, the officers found two pistols, 200 rounds of ammunition, and three extra magazines for the rifle. The suspect faces three counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Resisting/Obstructing an Officer. The MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
