Department of Justice Drops Investigation into Milwaukee School Choice Program

The US Department of Justice has dropped its investigation into the Milwaukee School Choice Program.

The DOJ sent the state a letter last month explaining it did not find students with disabilities were being discriminated against by Milwaukee Voucher Schools.

The ACLU and a disability rights group teamed up to make a discrimination claim against the choice program.

The Wisconsin Institute of Law and Liberty worked to push back against the DOJ investigation.

The ACLU said it believed discrimination against students with disabilities still exists and it will keep talking to families they say are affected.

The US DOJ made it clear in the letter it could follow up on future complaints.
