Mt. Pleasant man awarded posthumous Purple Heart

A veteran killed in the 2009 Fort Hood terrorist attack was honored with a posthumous Purple Heart at the VA Hospital in Milwaukee Friday.Captain Russell Seager worked at the VA hospital as a nurse practitioner in the mental health division before enlisting in the Army Reserve, and being stationed at Fort Hood.

Friday family friends coworkers and people who served alongside Seager all spoke about how much of a positive impact people.

Seager's widow, son, and father accepted the Purple Heart.
