UW Milwaukee hosts prayer vigil for murder Muslim students in NC

Students gathered for prayers on the UW Milwaukee campus Thursday to honor three Muslim American college students murdered at the University of North Carolina.

Similar vigils were held on college campuses across the country.

The organizer hopes all American will express concern, not just those of the Islamic faith.

"It really makes me sad," Muslim Student Association President Firas Hamid told CBS 58 News. "I can imagine what their parents are going through. I can imagine if I were in their place, what my mom, what my grandma, what my family would be going through. So, it's saddening and that's why we're trying to do this on their behalf."
