Brewers blank Cubs 5-0 to start rivalry series
by WDJT Sports

CHICAGO - for eight innings, Brewers and Cubs pitchers traded zeroes on the scoreboard. In the ninth, the Brewers offense finally broke through.

Carlos Gomez finally started the scoring with an RBI single in the ninth inning, scoring Jean Segura and leading to a five run inning for Milwaukee. The 5-0 win gives the Brewers the early edge in the four-game rivalry series.

The two teams play a doubleheader Tuesday in Chicago. The first game is scheduled to start at 1:20 PM, with the second game getting underway at 7:05.
