Wisconsin Woman that was 9-Months Pregnant was Stabbed with Corkscrew

A Madison woman that was 9-months pregnant was stabbed with a corkscrew by a man during a domestic violence situation.

According to Madison Police, the victim, who is nine-months pregnant, reported being punched multiple times in the head and stomach by the suspect.

When he grabbed a knife from the kitchen, she fled and went the safety of a neighbor's apartment while police were called. The suspect was found outside and taken into custody.

The victim quickly realized, once inside the neighbor's apartment, that she was bleeding and realized the suspect was holding a corkscrew in his hand at the time of the attack, and that caused several lacerations.

According to police, she needed stitches to close a wound above and eye. Doctors listed the mother and unborn baby in stable condition. The suspect has been detained, but not yet formally arrested.
