MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The beloved Estabrook Beer Garden is missing two fryers and a freezer after thieves stole them sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, said Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.
This theft comes on the heels of the last weekend of Oktoberfest celebrations at Estabrook Beer Garden. Operator of the beer garden, Hans Weissgerber III, said he was alerted of the theft Wednesday morning. He said he was left feeling disappointed and sick.
"Like, why would someone do this to a place like this?" Said Weissgerber.
Weissgerber said their surveillance video shows someone moved the camera at the time of the theft and believes it was a targeted attack.
"This isn't stuff that was, like easy to grab and go with. Somebody planned this out. They saw it, they knew it was there. They knew what they were coming to get," said Weissgerber.
Weissgerber said the equipment stolen was used to bring new fried items to the menu for Oktoberfest celebrations.
Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said it is an on-going investigation and they have no one is in custody yet.
