Washington County Sheriff's Office Supervisor on leave after shooting at stolen car

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Washington County Sheriff's Office Supervisor is on administrative leave after shooting at a stolen car suspect during a chase.

The chase started in Fond du Lac County on I-41 just before 1 a.m. on Christmas morning.

The chase then went into the Town of Polk in Washington County. At one point, the suspect was even driving the wrong way down the highway.

The suspect eventually crashed into the front of the supervisor's car. The supervisor ran out of the car before the crash and shot at the suspect's car.

Other officers tasted the suspect and arrested him. The suspect was not injured.

The West Bend Police Department is now handling the investigation.
