RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- Matthew Gorbaty, Adjutant, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1391 joined us in studio to promote the upcoming Veterans Day Ceremony and Stew Feed.
We are beyond excited for the 2023 Veterans Day ceremony scheduled for November 11, 2023, at 10 am in Racine’s Memorial Hall. The ceremony will be immediately followed by VFW 1391 Stew Feed, also in Memorial Hall. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1391 partnered with Racine’s Saint Catherine’s High School, the Gilmore School of Fine Arts choir, and American Veterans Post 262 (AmVets) to bring Racine the 2023 Veteran’s Day Ceremony.
A few new comers which will make 2023’s ceremony unique include the West Racine Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and the Volunteer Center of Racine County’s Youth Volunteer Corps. We are thrilled to see the continued integration of Racine’s youth in rejoicing with Racine’s veterans to celebrate Veteran’s Day.
We are equally pleased to continue the proud VFW 1391 of the post event Stew Feed which is 84 years old in 2023. Everyone is invited to Memorial Hall for the ceremony and stew feed. No RSVP is required and everyone is encouraged to enjoy both events to join Racine’s veterans in celebration of Veteran’s Day.
