Tomorrow is the start of astronomical Summer! The season officially gets underway at 9:56 AM. It's our longest day of the year. Take a look:
And sometimes it's the hottest day too... do you remember the first day of Summer last year?! It was a scorching hot day reaching the triple-digits!! That's a feat we usually only accomplish once a decade. That held true with the previous triple digits recorded in 2012. So on the longest day of the year and the sun's rays reaching the northern most part of the Earth what can we expect? More of the same. A stale weather pattern continues as High pressure remains stuck over the Great Lakes. You can expect another day filled with sunshine, low humidity and warm temperatures in the lower 80s. It will be slightly warmer inland. For reference the average high for tomorrow's date is 79, so brace for a seasonable start to the season. Weather beyond stays stable until Sunday and Monday when we introduce shower and storm chances.I'm meteorologist Rebecca Schuld
