Teen Gives False Name to Racine PD After Burglary

On November 1 at 3:27 PM, Racine Police Officers responded to the 600 Block of Walton Avenue for a male suspect running in the area bleeding heavily. Officers followed the blood trail to the alley in the 2100 block of Erie Street.

The bleeding subject initially identified himself with a false name and stated he was a victim of a crime where he suffered injuries. The subject was transported to St. Mary’s hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Officers were able to locate the parents of the person whose name was given by the subject. Upon their arrival to the emergency room it was learned that the person was not the name he had given, and was unknown to the parents.

The 17-year-old suspect was later identified by investigating officers. The Officers assisted by K9 followed a blood trail from where the suspect was located to an address in the 1800 block of LaSalle Street. The blood trail directed Officers to a residence that had been forcibly entered.

The 17-year-old was taken to emergency surgery to repair a severe injury to his arm.
