MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The man arrested in a wrong-way freeway crash over the weekend has been identified.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office says 48-year-old Robert Banks of Milwaukee was driving the car that hit a vehicle head-on while traveling northbound on I-43 Southbound in Glendale.
The driver who was hit was hospitalized with several injuries. Her passenger was also hurt, but less seriously.
Banks was trying to avoid a traffic stop for speeding when he got on the freeway.
He now faces charges of Reckless Injury and Recklessly Endangering Safety.
