With Milwaukee experiencing summer-like temperatures, state transportation officials are warning drivers to be on the look out for buckling roads.
Mike Pyritz from the DOT says there are several factors including heat the contribute to buckling pavement. We asked him what drivers should do if they spot the problem.
"If you are very early on and do not see anybody else either pulled over or on your phone or responding, take the initiative and call that information in through the 911 system."
Pyritz says if you see crews already working on the buckling pavement, make sure you move over and slow down to give them room to work.
