South Milwaukee Teacher Tells Police Family were in Debt when Started Selling Pot

South Milwaukee teacher and her husband have been arrested for selling mushrooms and marijuana.

Tracy Wendt and James Wendt are charged with possession with intent to deliver or manufacture THC, possession with intent to deliver psilocin, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony intimidation of a witness.

Tracy told police they were in debt about a year ago the opportunity presented itself and her husband took it.

She told police she believed he only sold to family and friends.

An informant told police that James would weigh and bag the marijuana. He then would put the THC in a red bucket he kept in the garage. Customers would take the marijuana and take money.

The teacher is currently on unpaid leave.
