It’s an ambitious program from the DNR that aims to put all of the wildlife in the state of Wisconsin in front of a camera lens.
Snapshot Wisconsin is a volunteer based monitoring effort to capture images of all types of wildlife to learn more about Wisconsin’s ecological place in the world. The project is led by the Department of Natural Resources in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Madison and UW-Extension.
On CBS 58 Sunday Morning, Michael Schlesinger marched into the woods with some Snapshot volunteers from Woodside Elementary School in Sussex and DNR project coordinator Susan Frett to find out what the researchers are looking for.
