MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- Despite living in a pandemic, the spirit of giving was stronger than ever in Milwaukee Thursday, Nov. 26.
Several organizations gave back to hundreds of people. At 35th and Center, Dream Team United MKE hosted an outdoor feast and winter supply drive.
Nearby, volunteers from the Maccanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary helped a growling line of people fulfill their needs.
Food Is Free MKE gave away dozens of hot meals to anyone who walked up.
"Hunger doesn't wait, we know there's food insecurities. So we just wanted to ensure that people are still getting loved today," Supv. of 2nd District Sequanna Taylor said.
Organizers of the events say each was made possible through community donations and support.
