Semi Driver Dead After Driving off the Roadway, Two Others Also Hurt

SAUK COUNTY - The driver of a semi truck is dead following an early morning crash in Sauk County near Lake Delton.
It happened around 8:45 a.m. on I-90 eastbound at Mile Marker 093. A Freightliner semi that was traveling eastbound went off the roadway, struck a guardrail, continued into the ditch line, and struck several trees.
The guardrail protruded into the eastbound lanes and was struck by two passenger vehicles.
The driver of the semi was pronounced deceased at the scene.
There were minor injuries to the drivers of the other vehicles. One of those drivers is a 39-year-old woman from Milwaukee.
The investigation into this crash is ongoing.
