Record-breaking warmth to a spooky chill this Halloween weekend

It was fun while it lasted! This week featured temps way above normal. Monday reached the 60s, then we had 70s and even an 80 degree day which set a new record high. We also set a couple overnight warm lows. Have a look:

And currently it is still plenty mild and muggy outside.

Temps should reach 70 in Milwaukee today before a cold front slams through this afternoon unleashing the colder air you see to our west. While it won't get quite as cold as those single digits and teens, here's what you can expect. A temperature tumble of about 20 degrees in a span of six hours.

When the warmth peaks, it could also come with a few isolated T'showers.

By the evening commute we are likely dry, and maybe we have some clearing overhead too.

This leaves the Halloween weekend with a spooky chill. And for sure more trick than treat for Halloween itself, barely reaching 40.

Could even see a few flakes flying at times Sunday and again Tuesday. Bundle up the ghosts and goblins as they take to the streets to collect candy this weekend, they will need it!
