Reckless driver strikes 2 cars in Milwaukee, including MPD squad car, 3 hospitalized

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Three people were reportedly taken to a hospital to be treated following multiple cars being struck by a car that was allegedly driving recklessly near Muskego and Mitchell on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at around 5:41 p.m.

The Milwaukee Police Department says that officers observed a car driving recklessly and attempted to stop the car, but that it fled at a high rate of speed, even disregarding a red traffic stop at the intersection of Muskego and Mitchell.

This reportedly led to a crash with an MPD squad car and another bystander car.

A 24-year-old driver was taken into custody after police say he led them on a brief foot pursuit near Pearl and Mitchell.

A 50-year-old man who was the driver of the bystander car, along with two officers who were in the MPD squad car, were all reportedly transported to a local hospital for treatment.
