OZAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Summer camps are in full swing across the area, one particular camp in Ozaukee County is giving kids with visual impairments the chance to experience camp this week.
Vision Forward is teaming up with the Albert and Ann Deshur JCC Rainbow Day Camp to give kids ages 5 to 18 the chance to play games, do arts and crafts and just have some summer fun with other kids experiencing similar challenges.
The campers say it's a rewarding experience.
"It’s nice to get to talk to people and get to make contact with people who have the same experiences as me. It’s really nice to get to talk to them and learn about their experiences and their struggles and stuff and how they face problems," said Bennet Lehman, camper.
The camp runs through Thursday, July 20. We're told this is the only camp of its kind in Wisconsin.
