Racine County sheriff's deputy facing child sexual exploitation charges

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Racine County sheriff's deputy has been removed from duty following allegations of criminal activity.

The sheriff's office says Deputy Preston Kite was arrested and taken to the Kenosha County Jail on charges of child pornography, child exploitation (five counts), lewd and lascivious behavior-exposure and disorderly conduct. 

Authorities say Deputy Kite was placed on unpaid administrative leave pending a termination process. 

Court records show cash bond was set at $150,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 15. 

The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department has been asked to investigate.
