Person of interest in Somers home invasion taken into custody after chase

KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth has arrested a person of interest in the home invasion of two elderly people in the Village of Somers that happened October 27. 

The Sheriff's Department had a person under surveillance. When authorities attempted a traffic stop the car fled and traveled north into Racine County and then back south and crashed near County Highway KR and 22nd Avenue on Kenosha County.

The vehicle was stolen in Kenosha County.

Four adults and one child were in the car at the time of the chase and crash. 

The husband and wife in the 80s were both attacked by a suspect on October 27 around 2:30 a.m. The husband was also shot during the incident.
