MPD: 2 in serious condition following shooting and stabbing

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a violent incident that reportedly involved a stabbing and shooting near 20th and Long Island Dr. on Thursday, Feb. 22.

Officials say it happened just after 11 p.m. 

The event left a 47-year-old with stab wounds and a 37-year-old with gunshot injuries.

Authorities say they recovered a gun at the scene.

Both victims are reported to be in serious condition and were taken to a local hospital following the altercation that investigators are treating as being related to domestic violence.
