MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A Milwaukee woman apologized in court Tuesday for setting a home on fire that killed a 72-year-old man.
Java Wright was sentenced to 22 years in prison with 15 years extended supervision. Police say she admitted to starting the fire that was caught on camera near 12th and Wright in June of 2017.
Wright says she wanted to scare her boyfriend out of the house. He escaped, but Willie Greer did not and died from his injuries.
