Milwaukee Mayor Discusses Extreme Cold

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett is getting the word out about this dangerous cold.

He is appealing to residents to watch out for one another.

"It’s pretty much common sense and it's about being a good neighbor make sure you are watching out the people who live near you and the people you know and I think for church groups in particular they are gonna have a lot of elderly people who are members of their congregations to check on them as well,” said Mayor Barrett.

The mayor, along with Public Health Commissioner Bevan Baker outlined some other recommendations.

Those included making sure you take the time to prepare for the cold including making a cold weather preparedness kit and always keeping gloves and hats available if you have to go outside.
