MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It's an unforgettable moment for one newly engaged couple. Not just for the proposal, but a Milwaukee man who photobombed their special day.

It was the perfect moment, beautiful weather and a breathtaking view. In fact, so perfect that Ryan Mulvey got on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend, Emily Rhodes, outside the Milwaukee Art Museum on May 7, 2022.

"As we're walking out along the lakefront I finally mustered up the courage to get on one knee. I was sweating the whole day," Mulvey said.

A photographer was waiting by the lake to capture the moment.

"She just completes me," Mulvey said.

Here's the icing on the cake: the photographer caught more than just Rhodes in tears. A man driving past on bike photobombed their most memorable moment in time.

"I'm so nervous, I'm crying and then this guy is behind us with this huge happy face so it's like a full range of emotions in one photo," Mulvey said.

The two didn't see the final photos until a month later and asked for help on social media to find him.

"I was curious, I wanted to know who this guy was. I wonder if he is a Milwaukee local. I wonder if could find him, and we did," Rhodes said. "It was only like an hour or two and someone commented, 'omg that's me.'"

Matt Herman is his name. They're all now friends.

"We're in contact with the photobomber now and we're planning to go out and get drinks. So we've made a good friend. It's very exciting," Rhodes said.

A good friend who may just get an invitation to the wedding, and another chance to photobomb.
