Milwaukee man, 27, shot while walking on sidewalk near 38th and Burleigh

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are currently investigating a non-fatal shooting.

It happened around 8:45 p.m. on Friday near 38th and Burleigh. 

According to police, a 27-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk when he heard shots being fired and realized he had been shot.

He was taken to a local hospital where he is being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

The investigation remains ongoing.
