A Milwaukee County Jail probationary correctional officer was arrested Thursday night by the Greenfield Police Department.
30-year-old Timothy Jennings of Greenfield called police to report that someone shot into his apartment. After officers investigated and found discrepancies with Jennings story he admitted that it was his own weapon that fired a shot.
In a press release, Greenfield Police say the initial 911 call said that a bullet came through an open window, hit the kitchen table and lodged in the wall. Police evacuated the building and began searching for a suspect.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office has fired Jennings because of the incident.
