MFD called to fire near scrap yard

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Fire Department responded to a fire at Alert Metal Recycling Friday morning, Sept. 3.
It's located near 17th and Bruce Streets. Heavy smoke could be seen from I-43.
According to the Milwaukee Fire Department, a large pile of cars was on fire and crews set a water tower to put it out.
No one was injured and the fire has been put out.
