Marquette men's lacrosse makes NCAA Tournament field for second straight year

Milwaukee -

MILWAUKEE - Marquette's men's lacrosse team is in the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year.

The Golden Eagles (8-7) got an automatic berth as the Big East Tournament champion. They'll face Notre Dame in South Bend in the opening round Sunday at 11:00AM Central Time.

The MU men's lacrosse program is only in its fifth year of existence, but has enjoyed quite a bit of success. The Golden Eagles lost to eventual national champion North Carolina 10-9 in a first round Tournament matchup last year in Milwaukee.
