Man Shot in Groin Seeks Help at Elementary School

CHICAGO (CBS Chicago)  — A Chicago man walked into an elementary school on Monday afternoon seeking medical assistance after being shot in the groin, according to CBS Chicago.

The victim was shot on West Maypole Avenue, around the corner  from Marconi Elementary School, 230 N Kolmar Ave., authorities said.

Authorities say the victim has no ties to the school in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The 23-year-old man was transported to Mount Sinai for treatment.
