Milwaukee Police are investigating an incident on the north side where a car owner fired several gunshots at people he believed were trying to steal his car. Police say the supposed carjackers only hit his car.
The incident happened around 5:00 AM Friday when the shooter surprised three people he said were breaking into his car at N 84th Street and W Keefe Avenue.
The man is a concealed carry holder and fired several gunshots at the supposed thieves. Police say no one was hit by the gunfire.
Two of the suspects left the scene in a second stolen vehicle which was found abandoned several blocks away. The third suspect fled on foot.
Police were eventually able to arrest the three suspects, but the car owner could not identify them.
The man who shot at the suspects may face charges.
