Man arrested for 6th OWI after crashing truck his friend lent him
WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Early Wednesday morning around 3 a.m. Waukesha County Sheriff's Deputies were sent to a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of US Highway 18 and South County Highway C.
Deputies found an abandoned, maroon, Ford F150 pick-up truck with heavy front-end damage and deployed airbag that hit trees, branches and a utility pole guide wires.
The owners of the truck told officials that they lent it to a friend who lived near the crash site. Deputies found the man at his house with the help of the friends and discovered injuries consistent with being in a crash.
The man was taken to Waukesha Memorial Hospital for treatment and eventually issued citations for failure to stop for a stop sign, operating after revocation-alcohol related, hit-and-run with property damage to an adjacent highway and failure to notify the police for an accident. He was also arrested for his 6th OWI.
