Long Lines Form at Warrant Wednesday

It is the final day where people in Milwaukee with outstanding warrants for minor offenses can get them forgiven.

It's is literally a sea of people.

It starts at the door of the municipal court and stretches all the way down close to 2 blocks.

We saw some folks in line before 5:00 AM and the line has been growing ever since.

It was all part of a program created by the city's three municipal court judges to help people get back on the right track.

The judges said they wanted people who were afraid to come forward because of outstanding warrants to begin working with the system.

People will still be responsible for any fines, and building and zoning code violations will be heard on a case by case basis.

The program does end at 5:30 PM.
