Light lineup propels Brewers to 6-3 win over Cards

The Brewers lineup Sunday against the Cardinals appeared overmatched from the start - Ryan Braun and Aramis Ramirez were both sitting out, and several other Brewers stars are still out with injuries - but the light-hitting lineup helped Milwaukee salvage a win in the series with St. Louis.

Adam Lind homered, and Gerardo Parra added a triple, double and two runs scored in the Brewers 6-3 win over the Cards. Elian Herrera and Hector Gomez, filling in for Scooter Gennett and Ramirez, each had an RBI, and Logan Schafer notched two hits and scored a run.

Mike Fiers lasted just four innings before a Mark Reynolds home run drove him from the game, but the Brewers bullpen held the Redbirds to just one run the rest of the way. St. Louis left 14 men on base, at least one in every inning except the ninth.

Francisco Rodriguez pitched the ninth for his 351st career save.
