Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists in need of feline blood donors

GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Donating blood is a common occurrence among many people. But did you know, that pets are sometimes needed to do the same?

The Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists, located in Glendale, put out a call for help on Facebook. They're seeking blood donor cats after they've had quite a few feline patients requiring blood transfusions. 

In order to be eligible for donation, cats must be 1-6 years of age, have >10 pounds lead body weight, be an indoor-only cat, have a good temperament, be in good health, have proof of current vaccinations, have never received a blood transfusion
