Kohl's Donates Gifts to Penfield's Children Center

Dozens of Kohl’s employees unloaded 2 truckloads of gifts for the children of Penfield Children’s Center Friday.

This is a tradition between Kohls and Penfield’s that goes back several years.

Kohl’s associates collect and donate the toys each year.

Penfields helps thousands of children including those with disabilities, and behavioral problems.

More than 90 percent of the children served here live at or below the federal poverty level.

Chris Holmes the President and CEO of Penfield’s says this maybe the only gift some of these kids get all season long.

"These families come the central city of Milwaukee and so many of them don't have a lot of resources available to them especially during the holiday season. So these presents means so much to the families,” she said.

In addition to the gifts, Kohl also is donating $25,000 to Penfield’s for specialized educational and developmental services.
