Kenosha Man Injured in Sunday Morning Shooting

An early morning disturbance Sunday at a Kenosha bar has sent a 21-year-old man to the hospital with a gunshot wound.  According to a Kenosha Police Department news release, the 21-year-old was shot following an altercation in the bar that spilled outside into the nearby Alford Park.  The young man was able to get himself to the hospital for treatment of the non-life threatening injury.

Around 1:55 AM Sunday, while the Police were investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s gunshot wound, the Kenosha County Sheriff’s office was called to the Upper Deck Tavern for a report of shots fired.  The Sheriff’s investigation determined the altercation began inside the tavern in the 1700 block of Sheridan Road.  The individuals involved in the altercation left the tavern and walked across the street to the Alford Park parking lot where the altercation continued.  At some point, shots were fired and the victim was struck.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the shooting.
