Jackson man robbed, threatened after offering to help woman on social media

JACKSON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Jackson man called the police to report that he had been robbed in a Milwaukee suburb in the beginning of December.

According to the victim, he met a woman who posted a message on social media asking for financial assistance. When the victim met up with the woman, he was threatened by a man with a gun who took $1,000 from him.

After the incident, the Jackson resident allegedly received a text message from the woman showing photos of his home with cryptic messages and threats. 

A warrant had just been issued for the male suspect in the robbery after he failed to appear in Washington County Circuit Court.

The Jackson Police Department, along with the other police department was able to arrest both suspects.
