When the car stopped a suspect, believed to be the driver, got out of the car and began shooting at officers. Authorities say the 23-year-old male suspect fired multiple rounds and at least two rounds hit a squad car. Officers returned fire as the suspect continued to shoot while running from the car.

Police say the suspect was armed with a semi-automatic handgun. He is a Milwaukee man with a lengthy arrest record, according to police.
