Hunger Task Force extends donation hours

Beginning today, Monday, November 10, Hunger Task Force will extend its office hours to accommodate increased holiday donations through the end of the year. Hours will be 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday; and 9:00 a.m. – noon on Saturday. Hunger Task Force is located at 201 S. Hawley Court in Milwaukee. Volunteers assist throughout the season and will help unload donations behind the building at Dock 1.

“Milwaukeeans really step up to help local families this time of year and we want to make dropping off donations as convenient as possible. Just take the Hawley Road exit off of I-94 and here we are. It takes five minutes to get off the freeway, donate, and get back on the freeway, we timed it!” said Sherrie Tussler, Executive Director of Hunger Task Force.

Non-perishable food items are always welcome and frozen turkeys can be stored for Thanksgiving delivery. All turkey donations up to 1,000 will be matched by Rexnord. Donations can also be made online at HungerTaskForce.org or by phone at (414) 777-0483.
