Waukesha seniors celebrate Galentine’s Day
SAUKVILLE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Around six to seven inches of rain fell in Saukville Sunday night into Monday morning.
Streets were flooded, leaving some cars underwater.
Grady Park in Saukville was flooded as well as several basements.
The Village President says the storm drains could not keep up with the heavy rainfall.
Highway 33 was closed for several hours, re-routing morning traffic through Grafton.
The road re-opened Monday afternoon, but shortly after a storm sewer line collapsed near Dekora Woods Boulevard, shutting down a portion of Highway 33 again.
The Milwaukee River runs through Saukville and has reached flood stage. Residents can go to Village Hall for sandbags.
